Comments / Description
Founded in 1978 to cater for the needs of British families the school has developed into an international school of currently 42 nationalities with 60% of students being either UK or English speaking foreigners. All academic staff have British or Uk recognised qualifications with the exception of some of our language teachers who are native speakers of their subject. They bring with them a wealth of current experience from the UK and other international schools. 95% of the teachers are recruited from the UK. The school organises and supports teachers undertaking professional development both in Cairo and abroad in order to maintain a highly skilled and committed staff.
The school is situated in spacious and attractive grounds and includes facilities such as science laboratories, art studio, technology suites, drama suite, computer laboratories, language teaching facilities, performing arts and music centre, up-to-date information technology equipment, 6th Form provision, a heated swimming pool, sports field including: football pitch, athletics track, tennis courts, basketball court, auditorium/theatre, dining area.

The UK National Curriculum is followed in the core subjects of English, mathematics and science. Other subjects including humanities, music, art, PE, dance and drama are also based on the National Curriculum whilst recognising the international nature of our student body. Brain friendly learning techniques form the basis of all teaching as part of the school's aim to develop students into indpendent life long learners.

The curriculum followed by students in the Secondary school prepares them for the General Certificate of Secondary Education, (GCSE) and A Levels examinations.
Parental involvement is a central aim of the school and we certainly encourage parents to contribute to the daily life of the school, and to assisting with the organisation of school events.

There is a strong extra-curricular activities programme with a wide variety of sports, arts, drama and technology activities. The school aims to offer a caring and quality education in a secure environment with high expectations. Class sizes are set at a maximum of 20 pupils and the pupil teacher ratio is 9 : 1, with an additional support staff network.
