Doha College offers a complete British education to English speaking students aged 3 to 18 years. The College is a well established, British Embassy sponsored, non-profit making organisation under the direction of a Board of Governors. Doha College follows the National Curriculum from KS 1 up to and including KS 5. Compulsory GCSE/IGCSEs include Maths, English, with separate Sciences or Combined Science, and either 3 or 4 choices from a wide range of subjects. 6th Form students may opt for a choice from AS and A2 or AVCE courses. There is also a 6th Form enrichment programme.
Teaching staff are predominantly from the UK but the policy is to appoint the best from accross the world. Teaching standards are high; class sizes are low and ensure optimum personal attention and individual development. Examination results are consistently excellent and compare with the best in the UK. Students progress to high status universities across the world, and are positive, mature and very committed. There is an extensive extra curricular programme, which includes the International Award, Model United Nations, Debating and a wide range of sports.
An extensive capital programme has ensured that facilities are excellent. Recent developments include first class fitness suite, a state of the art Science facility and a purpose 6th Form Study facility. The College is selective and places are allocated following entrance tests.
