Founded in 2004, Safa School follows the National Curriculum for England. Safa School aims to have two classes in each year group with a maximum of 24 children in a class. This means that every child receives the individual attention young children need and ensures a caring, family atmosphere throughout the school. English speaking children between three and eleven of all nationalities are welcomed creating a multi-national environment where children learn to respect, appreciate and enjoy each other’s cultures. All class teachers are British trained and attend regular in-service training to ensure that they are kept up-to-date with curriculum changes in UK. Regular specialist lessons in music, information and communication technology, Arabic, physical education, swimming and French are offered as part of the curriculum. The computer study room and the music room are exceptionally well equipped. Support is available for those children who require long or short-term assistance to ensure that they attain the expected level of achievement. In addition to this, the school offers a very comprehensive after-school activity programme for years one to six, including such diverse pursuits as golf, rock climbing, ten-pin bowling, ice skating, horse riding and philately. An enthusiastic and supportive group of parents organise a variety of family orientated events throughout the year such as an International Fayre, Spring Fayre and an International Lunch to celebrate U.A.E. Day. New parents are encouraged to join this group.
