GEMS Wellington International School opened to the families of Dubai in September 2005, as the flagship GEMS school, offering the National Curriculum for England. The school is proud to have His Royal Highness Prince Michael of Kent as its patron. His Royal Highness takes an activie interest in the school and attends many of our funcions during the year.
Facilities are second to none, housed in a state of the art building designed with space in mind. 3 computer suites; a TV studio; radio studio; Observatory; Video Conferencing suite; sports hall, two swimming pools, 3 quash courts, Health suite; climbing wall; outdoor pitches and play areas. These are complimented by a range of general classrooms and teaching spaces and laboratories. Extra curricular activities take place every day before and after school, making use of the impressive array of facilities along with those available in Dubai – horse riding, sailing, diving, skiing, etc.
GEMS Wellington International School provides a truly holistic educational experience, based on 4 core values – World Citizenship; Universal values; Leadership Qualities; Forward Thinking. These core values shape everything the school does – with student’s staff and parents.

GEMS Wellington International School opened to the families of Dubai in September 2005, as the flagship GEMS school, offering the National Curriculum for England.
Set in a prime, highly visible location, on Sheikh Zayed Road, the school attracts a great deal of attention from families in the Emirate. There are e 6 classes in every year group, taught throughout by UK qualified and experienced staff – a hallmark of the school. Instruction is in English and all children who attend GEMS Wellington International School must have a fluent grasp of the language, but all nationalities are welcomed into a truly international community that celebrates the diversity of our global community. Foundation Stage, Years 1 & 2 are housed in their own areas on the ground floor, with Secondary students on the first floor and Years 3 to 6 accommodated on the second floor, giving each student their own purpose built space, whilst also allowing them to meet a variety of other young people around the school. Primary students receive specialist instruction in Music, PE, Arabic and French, whilst secondary students are taught by specialists in every subject.
