Since its opening in 1999 as an exclusive girls secondary school, Al Shohub has gone from strength to strength. The original vision of establishing a school that offered a high-quality British-style education within a multi-cultural context is now very much a reality. The thriving Foundation Stage and Primary department welcomes boys aged 3-9 and girls aged 3-11, who follow the National Curriculum of England up to Key Stage 2. The girls in our Secondary section continue to Key Stage 3 and 4, working towards IGCSE and then Advanced Level examinations, in preparation for university entrance both in the United Arab Emirates and abroad. We also offer a comprehensive Arabic programme and are committed to nurturing cultural identity and understanding. In addition to academic studies, students are encouraged to participate in a range of extra-curricular activities and regular visits are organised to enhance their school experience. We aim to nurture life-long learners and to equip all pupils with the skills they will need to succeed in the world beyond the classroom. A strong pastoral system underpins all aspects of school life, nurturing confident, responsible young people who have the sound moral foundation upon which to build academic success.

Opened in 2008 Al Yasmina School is a not-for-profit school staffed almost entirely by UK teachers. The curriculum followed is the National Curriculum for England, with additional Arabic lessons taught. In addition to delivering education from Key Stage 1 through to 4, Al Yasmina provides Foundation classes for 3 to 5 year olds and will be offering post 16 provision for 16 to 17 year olds as from September 2011. In planning the curriculum and putting it into practice, we ensure that excellence is pursued and valued, that lessons are challenging and have pace and direction and whether the pupils are taught individually, in groups or as part of a whole class, it meets their individual needs. Certain experiences, knowledge and skills that we promote, are essential to a well rounded development of every pupil and form the basis to future learning. Ongoing assessments take place in each Year Group, and at certain times of the year there will be more formal assessments. A Curriculum, based on the National Curriculum for England, serves as a framework for our teaching and learning and helps ensure consistency and continuity between and across classes and between Year Groups. Pupils are assessed soon after entry to the school and on an ongoing basis throughout the academic year. Assessments enable pupil’s progress to be carefully tracked and for any difficulties to be managed before they become an obstacle to learning and achieving. The school has state-of-the-art facilities, including two sports halls, a large flood lit all weather sports field, two swimming pools, a climbing wall, two libraries, extensive Design and Technology Workshops, numerous music classrooms and twelve ICT resource teaching areas.

The creation of the Aqaba Special Economic Zone (ASEZA) has resulted in enormous growth and both foreign and international investment in the region. A number of exciting projects have commenced or are in the pipeline (e.g. Saraya and Ayla residential canal and hotel developments) and the creation of world class educational institutions and hospitals are key social enablers to support further development. As a consequence of this, Aqaba International School arose as a joint venture between Aqaba Development Corporation (ADC), and GEMS. This partnership ensures that the funding and expertise is available to create a truly world class school in line with this vision. Conveniently located in a residential area of Aqaba, Kingdom of Jordan, the Aqaba International School now offers an affordable, international education complemented by a strong cultural presence and values. Parents and students will benefit from a motivating, open and friendly learning environment, where the standards of teaching and learning are high, with a strong focus on academic, social and moral development. A variety of extra curricular activities complement the high academic standards and students have every opportunity to develop.

Nadeen School, established in 1977, follows the British Curriculum, and also draws on ideas from Australia, New Zealand and the USA. The school has a vast amount of equipment and resources for pupils and teachers, obtained from all of the above countries. All continents are represented in the school population, with an average of 50 different nationalities in the school. The school comprises 4 blocks - Infant, Junior, and Activity Blocks, each with its own garden and playground space. The main playground contains 2 separate areas covered by sun canopies for large wooden climbing structures and other playground equipment, and a large paved area for bicycles and tricycles. The Activity Block contains our Library, Teacher Resource Room, IT Room, Music and Drama Studio, Learning Support Room, ESL Room, Language Classes, Cooking Room and Kitchen, AV Room, Soft Play Room, and a Vegetable and Flower Garden. Three major and several supplementary reading schemes, and three major math schemes are used, and this provides the opportunity for lateral and upward extension of children's abilities. Children are taught in whole-class, small-group, and individual sessions with the class teacher and academic support staff. Much of our work is topic related, so Art and Craft, History, Geography, Science, and Design-Technology are incorporated into these centres of interest, as well as being taught separately. Music, Drama, Dance, PE, and Cookery are in the weekly syllabus for all children. Children are also encouraged to take books from our very well stocked library. Regular school trips are made to areas of interest within Bahrain. Extra-curricular activities include Dance Club, Art Club, Cooking Club, Fun with Science/Maths/English, Choir, Drama, Music, and an after-school care program. The school maintains a low pupil-teacher ratio: Pre-Nursery - 1 teacher, 4 assistants; Nursery - 2 assistants for each teacher; Reception to Year 6 - 1 assistant for each teacher, as well as learning support and academic support staff. The school is well known for its very caring and nurturing environment, its family-oriented atmosphere, and for its welcoming, open door policy.

St Christopher's School is a non-profit making institution providing a British-style education to students aged 3 to 18 years. The school year is similar to that in the UK and includes a minimum of 180 days of teaching (classroom staff work up to ten days beyond this). Each section of the school is purpose-built for educational use and all classrooms are air-conditioned and well equipped. The Senior School campus includes a large sports hall, swimming pool, garden and recreational / physical education areas, as well as the normal range of specialist rooms and a drama hall. In recent years the Senior School has been enhanced with a large library, 6th Form areas, 11 science laboratories, 3 art rooms and a music suite with practice rooms. A major recent development is the addition of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme which runs alongside our highly successful A-level programme. The Junior School moved to a magnificent new building in 2005. Their new site includes specialist science laboratories, music rooms and rooms for Art, Design Technology, Information Technology, Arabic and French. There is also a full-size artificial turf playing field, a sports hall and landscaped gardens. In 2007 the Infant School moved to its own fantastic new facility, linked to the Junior buildings at the Saar site. Infants now have their own hall, Information Technology Labs, Music, Arabic and Learning Support rooms. Teachers are, in the great majority, British trained - other staff have equivalent qualifications from other countries. All Infant classes and most Junior classes have access to classroom assistants. Maximum class sizes vary from 20 to 24 depending on the year group - with smaller classes in most Year 10 to 13 examination groups.

It provides a versatile and creative space in which to learn, eat and play. Attractively landscaped with trees, shrubs, grass and a small pond, the outside environment provides a wide variety of opportunities for play, learning and community use. The Middle and High School three story building houses twenty four additional classrooms, two science laboratories; Biology/Chemistry and Physics Laboratories; administrative offices for the social counsellor, building supervisor, server room and cafeteria. In September 2013 the new elementary school building was officially opened which houses 21 classes.

We have recently celebrated our 30th Anniversary and continue to be one of the leading schools in Alexandria and the surrounding area. We have close links with the British Consulate - our Patron is Her Majesty’s Consul General and part of our campus is in the Consulate grounds. The school is a deliberately relatively small 3-18 British international school (440 students). It is recognised by the DfE and is an accredited member of the Council of British International Schools (COBIS). It is a high achieving and forward thinking school which enjoys an excellent reputation. We are committed to ensuring excellent learning and teaching in a caring environment. You will find the school a rewarding and friendly place to work with good relationships between staff and students. We have a strong commitment to the professional development of all our staff. Foundation children follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework. Students in Key stages 1, 2 and 3 follow the British National Curriculum and in KS4 students study for IGCSEs and A-levels in the Sixth Form. Although our curriculum is based on the British system, we try to ensure that it incorporates the history, geography, language and culture of Egypt as well as having a strong international dimension. All students also study Arabic. Our vision is to provide a quality 3-18 British International education in Alexandria which is underpinned by outstanding teaching to develop knowledgeable, caring, compassionate, respectful global citizens and lifelong learners who will have both the desire and capabilities to help to make our world a better place. A large proportion of our students are Egyptian nationals but we also have a significant number of students from other countries, with over 23 different nationalities represented including neighbouring Middle Eastern/African countries as well as a smaller proportion from Europe. Alexandria is a bustling, friendly and cosmopolitan city on the Mediterranean full of historical interest. Life for teachers is relaxed and safe with a relatively low cost of living with a sufficiently good infrastructure, shops, cafes and restaurants to lead a European lifestyle. Most teachers are able to save at least 60% of their salary and at the same time enjoy exploring Egypt. Although from time-to-time Egypt appears in the media, you will find that living in Alexandria is in reality similar to living in any other big city with no particular security issues and a strong and stable government. The temperate Mediterranean climate in Alexandria ensures cooler summers and warmer winters than in several other parts of Egypt. In winter (January/February) there are some rainy days with temperatures ranging between 10 and 20°C, summers are renowned for the refreshing sea breeze, with temperatures between 22 and 34°C.

We aim to equip our pupils to leave school as caring, confident citizens for the future. El Gouna International School was established in 1998. From its humble beginnings, with an initial intake of 33 students, our current student body is made up of 240 children aged between 3.6 and 18. Our staff roll consists of 63 teachers and assistants. The children represent around 24 different nationalities and the staff are predominately from the British Isles. Some staff are from Canada, Macedonia, Germany, France, New Zealand and Egypt. This is a truly international school. Principal among our aims is the desire to offer high quality academic teaching and learning, as well as excellent pastoral care. This takes place in a secure and supportive environment that will not only provide for a fulfilling time at EGIS but also facilitate easy movement between educational institutions. Our pupils are drawn from all over the world and it is in a spirit of inclusiveness that we aim to nurture the whole child, providing them with the educational and social experiences that will equip them for life in the 21st century. Our teaching promotes the acquisition of the knowledge, critical thinking, skills, and positive attitudes necessary in our culturally diverse and rapidly changing world. The school has been accredited by CIS (Council of International Schools) in 2004 and 2009. The International School shares its premises with El Gouna Language School, which delivers an Egyptian Curriculum with an emphasis on Higher Level English. The two sections exist under one umbrella- El Gouna School. Both schools join together regularly for assemblies, activities and major events. The pupils enjoy the use of a 20 metre pool and improved facilities are currently being implemented. The school is a non-profit organisation and all income is poured back into the school.

Modern English School Cairo was established in 1990 with just 26 students; today the school population stands at 1967 students. MES Cairo has gained a plethora of awards, memberships and accreditations. It is fully accredited by MSA (Middle States Association) and NCA-AdvancED, and certified as an IBO World School.Members of ECIS, CIS, NESA and BSME, MES Cairo is a multi-national co-educational English medium, British Curriculum school that caters for students from Foundation Stage One to Secondary (Year/Grade 12), leading to Cambridge IGCSE and Edexcel Examination Boards GCSEs examinations, A/S and A Levels. The addition in September 2000 of an American High School section from Grade 7 leading to the American High School Diploma and AP qualifications, and the introduction of the International Baccalauareate Diploma Programme (IBDP) from 2006, gives students a broader choice. MES Cairo is large enough to offer students a choice of an American or British curriculum from Year 7/Grade 7. Students may apply to study IB DP in Years 11 and 12. Arabic and Religious Studies are taught throughout the school. British Secondary Foundation (Key Stage 3) studies are condensed into Years 7 and 8. Examination courses are accelerated and students take eight IGCSE/GCSE examinations at the end of Year 10. Students then have the option to take A/S and A level examinations prior to further education. Our well-resourced Foundation Stage One provides an excellent foundation for the child's education focusing on Early Years goals. The students then progress with a curriculum based on the National Curriculum of England, building on the skills, knowledge and understanding already gained. Primary children study a curriculum similar to that followed in a good progressive British school, with the addition of Arabic, French and Religious Studies. All policies continue to be revised in the light of recent reports to ensure that they are both relevant to the children and at the same time deliver the requirements of the British National Curriculum. Children are taught by using the best of both modern and well tried and tested teaching techniques, and great importance is laid on the creation and use of a stimulating environment within the school. Having the expertise of specialist French, PE, Music and ICT and LDD teachers further strengthens our Primary School and when students have completed their Primary education, they are well prepared for the further challenges that the Secondary School will bring. The school is located on an impressive 33,500m2 landscaped campus in New Cairo with a Primary department designed to retain a family atmosphere, with large primary pods and added creative areas, networked computer suites, science laboratories, home making rooms, music suites with rehearsal facilities, and media centres. A 400-seat theatre, and three multi-purpose halls complement the Secondary faculty suites, large interrelated art studios, music suites, two drama studios, design technology suite, ICT networked suite, nine science laboratories and a dedicated sixth form common room. The sports complex contains volleyball, basketball courts, two swimming pools, full-size varsity football pitch, athletics track, gymnasium, and a dance studio. MES Cairo is the only foreign school to be awarded the ICT Naacemark for quality. For further details visit our website: www.mescairo.com

Our school could not be more aptly named. We are ‘New Cairo’ to reflect our location in a wonderful part of Cairo but we are also new in attitude as we constantly strive to be at the vanguard of educational provision. At NCBIS your child will receive an education based on the best of British values and traditions but one that is also designed to foster an international mindset. This is manifested in our formal curriculum which fuses the best of British and international programmes to allow our students to acquire the appropriate balance of knowledge, understanding and enquiry based skills to succeed at university and beyond. Our Primary school students follow the Primary Years Programme (PYP), a course of study that ‘prepares students to be active participants in a lifelong journey of learning’. The Dutch stream, an integral part of our school history and culture, also bases their curriculum on the PYP but modify it where necessary. In Key Stage 3, the first three years of secondary school, we offer the English National Curriculum leading to the IGCSE / GCSE examinations in Key Stage 4. Our senior students have the opportunity to take the prestigious IB Diploma, an internationally renowned programme of study that opens the doors to the best universities in the UK and around the world. None of this would be possible without teachers of the highest calibre, recruited from the best UK and international schools worldwide. In all our endeavours we are fortunate to receive tremendous parental support. We foster a sense of community and understand that positive home-school links are key to our success. We proudly celebrate our successes but at the same time we are proactive and forward-looking and realize that change and improvement must be constant. There is no substitute for seeing a school at first hand so I extend to you the warmest of welcomes to come and visit us at the school. Our doors are always open to you.

The Gulf English School is a well-established international school for the children of the large expatriate community and Kuwaiti children. The school is housed in new, purpose built premises in Salmiya. The school’s 2400 pupils follow a modified National Curriculum of England and Wales from the Foundation Stage through to university entrance. Arabic and Islamic studies are also taught throughout. Parents of primary years children receive regular communication on the curriculum and their child's progress. Children are regularly assessed and new targets set. Students take targets home and parents are encouraged to help their children achieve these. All students receive a formal written report at the end of terms One and Three. A distinctive feature of the Secondary school is an accelerated programme for gifted and talented children leading to A/S and A levels in Year 11. Students can follow a one year or two year A/S and A level programme. Daily after school activities include ice-skating, karate, swimming and many other sports, instrumental lessons with various ensembles and choirs, chess and fine arts. Sports teams take part in inter-schools competitions and students are encouraged to take part in as many extracurricular activities as possible. The New English School was founded by the chairman Tareq S. Rajab and was the first private, co-educational day school in Kuwait to offer a British style curriculum from Kindergarten to A level. The school is an example of necessity being the mother of invention; when, towards the end of the 1960s a demand for education with English as the medium of teaching became apparent. In November 1969 a small nucleus of parents and students joined forces when the first classes of NES opened in a villa in Shamiyah. A purpose built campus was opened in 1974. Improvements and extensions continue to maintain an environment that allows students to thrive. The school serves both the local and international communities with children from over 50 nationalities. Close ties are maintained with the UK and International groups.

The English School, founded in 1953 under the auspices of the British Embassy, is the longest established school in Kuwait catering for the expatriate community. The school operates as a not-for-profit, private co-educational establishment providing the highest standards in education for children of Pre-Kindergarten to Preparatory School age. TES is an Accredited Member of BSME, IAPS and BSO. Uniquely in Kuwait, the language of the playground is English with 50% of the pupils being British. With the exception of foreign language teachers, the teaching staff are all British and qualified in the United Kingdom. The school follows the National Curriculum and is well placed to cater for the needs of British expats in Kuwait. The school also has pupils representing close to 50 other nationalities, although 75% of the pupils overall are native English speakers. TES is an oasis of 'Britishness' in the heart of the Middle East. The number of pupils in the school continues to increase although the average class size remains around 20. The school is housed in well-resourced and spacious, fully air-conditioned premises in a pleasant residential suburb of Kuwait City. Class teachers are supported by specialist co-ordinators in Art, Design and Technology, Information Technology, Music, Library and PE and Games. Music is taught to all ages and French is introduced from Year 5. Formal End-of-Key Stage assessment takes place in Years 2 and 6. In addition the pupils are prepared for entrance tests to other schools including, where appropriate, Common Entrance Examinations at 11+, 12+ and 13+, and scholarship examinations. Responsibility for the school is vested in the Governing Committee whose members serve in a voluntary capacity. The school provides a learning environment within which children develop their individual capacity for achievement to its fullest potential. Each individual is directed towards self-discipline and respect for himself/herself and for others. The school's core values of Confidence, Empathy, Integrity, Positivity and Respect are at the heart of all that we do. The school aims to ensure that, by achieving standards at least equivalent to those of competitive private and state schools in Britain, our pupils are well prepared for the subsequent stages of their academic development whether in Britain, Kuwait or elsewhere in the world. All applications for entry are addressed on a personal basis. The Headmaster and the Admissions Registrar will be happy to meet prospective pupils and their parents. A visit to the School is encouraged in order for each family’s needs to be discussed. In the first instance, all prospective parents must complete the online registration process for their child or children. The process will then be initiated and the school's Registrar will be in touch. During the 2015/16 academic year all pupils in Years 3 - 8 will have their own iPad in school as an additional learning tool - the school has a roll-out process. The school's VLE will gradually be the heartbeat of the school's E-Learning Strategy as we prepare pupils even more effectively for life in the 21st century.

Opened in 2003, Cambridge English School, Hawally is a privately owned, non selective international school, offering the English National Curriculum and internationally recognised IGCSE and Advance Subsidiary programme to both Kuwaiti nationals and to the children of the large expatriate community resident in Kuwait. The school caters for a student population of approximately one thousand and nine hundred students inclusive of Early Years right through to Year 12. CES is an accredited Cambridge Examination Centre offering a challenging and balanced curriculum which prepares our students for universities both at home in Kuwait and abroad. Arabic and Religious education are part of the core curriculum from Primary right through to IGCSE. Staff are qualified, experienced teachers recruited from the United Kingdom and United States, Canada, South Africa. In Early Years we are committed to a quality of education for young children. We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum (EYFS) and focus on three prime areas of learning. These are language and communication (LCD), children’s personal, social and emotional development (PSED) and on their physical development (PD). These two educational stages provide a solid foundation for the student to move smoothly into the challenges of a secondary education and the continuity that the school provides from Early Years to Year 12 means that we really get to know our students and parents on their educational journey. Students are assessed regularly to international standards and prescribed academic targets are set for each individual to ensure that we as a school can monitor each student’s progress against his/her potential. Student progress is closely tracked and intervention strategies are in place to enable our students to achieve or exceed their targets. We have a Learning Support Department which assesses all students to identify strengths and weakness and, if needed, provide additional support. In Secondary, our most able students are encouraged to join our Accelerated Programme which means that they can sit up to four IGCES in Year 10 if they wish. At CES Hawally, we believe that regular communication between school and parent is intrinsic to a successful educational experience. Parents and students have the opportunity to meet teachers twice a year at Consultation Days. Through our open door policy, parents are also welcome to meet staff after school if they wish to discuss any pertinent issue relating to their son/daughter’s educational progress. We offer a comprehensive after school club programme offering a variety of academic, cultural and sporting clubs. Departments are encouraged to undertake out of school educational trips, both local and international, to broaden the educational horizons and life experiences of our school community. Student Ambassadors are appointed to represent the school at in house functions and promote citizenship to our younger students as well as acting as role models of responsible leadership, a role which we hope they will carry into adult lives. Situated in the vibrant, cosmopolitan suburb of Hawally, the school is served by its own fleet of buses but is also easily accessible by private transport due to its proximity to a number of important roads.

The British School Salalah is a small, nonprofit community school gifted to the British community in Salalah in the 1970s by the Sultan of Oman. It began its life as a few huts on the beach built to educate the children of the British Military who were posted in Salalah in the 1980s and, over the passage of time, has blossomed into a school that educates 112 children of many different nationalities on a purpose-built site in Dahariz. What We Offer: The British School Salalah enables children to have a varied and diverse curriculum from the Early Years all the way through to Year 8. The core subjects of English, Mathematics, and Science are at the heart of a broader suite of subjects preparing our students to be well-grounded lifelong learners. In a world where we are becoming increasingly reliant on computer technology, which is continually advancing, our Information Computer Technology (ICT) curriculum taught by our dedicated ICT teacher caters to children as young as 5. The school has invested in laptops that are available for all of our students to use. The Physical Education curriculum at the British School focuses on developing children’s fine motor skills at a young age and moves on to learning about various sports, movement, and teamwork. Arabic and French are taught to all of our children at different levels depending on their abilities. Language lessons at the British School are taught in a nonconventional way in which learning is made fun. Our children will often learn about the culture and the food along with the language through songs and games. Performing Arts is taken very seriously by our children, and they love to be involved in plays, assemblies, skits, and talent shows. The British School offers its children many avenues in which to express themselves in a creative environment which showcases their talents. The British School has two age-appropriate play areas – one for the younger years and another for our older children. We also offer our children a grass pitch for sports such as football and cricket as well as a netted area for bowling practise. Our Education Outside the Classroom Programme is all encompassing and includes a variety of extracurricular activities, school trips, and also many Parent Teacher Association (PTA) planned school events. Great emphasis is put on this programme which includes after-school activities like Hands on Science, Diving, Cookery, Art, Choir, Guitar lessons, Football, Fitness Fun, and many more. Each class will embark on at least one school trip in the year, and the older years will also have the opportunity to go on a camping trip overnight. The British School Salalah values the parent contribution to a child’s education and nurtures the relationship between the parents and the school. We have an active PTA who liaise regularly with our parents so that we ensure that their concerns, ideas, and desires are always known to us.

Founded in 1958 as a non-profit organization, the aim of The British Overseas School is to deliver a very high standard of UK education (the National Curriculum of England, IPC and Wales) by trained staff. The School caters for expatriate and local children from Pre-Nursery through to A Level. The Edexcel GCSE, IGCSE and A Level examinations are offered and the School is an independent Edexcel Examination Centre. The British Overseas School is housed in modern, purpose-built facilities in a quiet suburb of Karachi. Our continual investment in facilities, equipment and staff development ensures that our students make the most of their time with us. This is partly reflected in our impressive examination results and university placements as well as the wealth of extra curricular activities, which include music, chess, drawing, creativity and craft, tae-kwon-do, modern dance, ballet, football, basketball and cricket. However it is also shown in the character development of our students. We are proud of their creativity, sense of responsibility and enthusiasm for learning. As part of their personal development the School encourages the students to participate in field trips and excursions, eg. visits to Lahore, the Hunza Valley, the ancient city of Moenjodaro, turtle watching and heritage sites in Karachi city. We also encourage links with a variety of other schools, support of charitable organizations and opportunities to visit examples of good citizenship eg. Sindh Institute of Urology & Transplantation.

Qatar International School is an English-speaking private day school located in Doha, the capital city of the State of Qatar. The school follows the latest National Curriculum of England for students ranging between 3 and 18 years of age. Qatar International School was founded by the Owner Sheikh Ali bin Ahmed bin Thani Al Thani and the first Principal, Mrs Griffin in 1977, making it one of the first British schools in Qatar. From its very small beginnings nearly 40 years ago it has now grown into one of the largest and most successful schools in the country with nearly 1,900 students on role. The school is led and managed by British professionals and it strives to maintain the highest standards of the current British Education system, whilst also supporting its Arabic culture and international context. Children are taught in Key Stages from KS1 through to KS5 and examinations are taken in GCSE, IGCSE and A Levels using UK examination boards. The vast majority of students leaving QIS move on to Higher Education in leading universities all over the world but most especially the UK, USA, Canada, UAE and Qatar itself. The vast majority of teaching staff are UK trained and the school prides itself on ensuring it keeps up to date with the best international practice in education and learning. In 2001 the school moved to its current, purpose built campus in the Diplomatic Quarter of Dafna, adjacent to the impressive skyscrapers and business centre of West Bay. Here, under the ownership of the founder's son Sheikh Khalid bin Ali bin Ahmad Al Thani, the school continues to thrive, expanding and developing its excellent specialist facilities, which include science laboratories, ICT suites, a swimming pool, playing fields, and a large sports hall. Our student body is truly international, with over 60 different nationalities represented within the current cohort. While the teaching staff is predominantly British and the curriculum is taught in English, the school is adept at integrating students from a wide variety of cultural and academic backgrounds. We hope you will enjoy browsing our website and we look forward to possibly welcoming you to the school in future. Mr D C M Baker Principal

Our Secondary School runs Key Stage 3 of the English National Curriculum and we offer IGCSE examinations from CIE (accredited as an International Centre) We feel that separate membership of BSME will allow us to make links with the wider educational community within the Middle East, as a stand-alone entity, and open up fresh opportunities for the professional development of both out teaching and pastoral staff alongside sporting and cultural links for our students.

Opened in September 2016, King’s College Doha offers the international community of Qatar an outstanding British independent school education in some of the best facilities the region has to offer. In partnership with our parent school, King’s College UK, King’s Doha looks to build on the outstanding reputation the UK school has established over the last 135 years. The school currently caters for around 400 students aged 3 – 11 (Pre-school to Year 6) but will eventually extend into a complete through-school for students up to 18 years of age (Year 13). We expect our student body to increase to around 500 for September 2018. The school campus is designed by award winning school architects and houses some of the finest Early Years and Primary School facilities in Qatar. A glazed central atrium sits at the heart of the new school offering a unique amphitheatre styled performance hall surrounded by large, state of the art classrooms with dedicated indoor and outdoor learning and play areas. The school houses an excellent array of specialist teaching spaces including Science Labs, an Art and Design centre and Music classrooms as well as a dedicated Arabic and Islamic Studies centre. ICT plays a key role throughout, with Wi-Fi available in all internal areas and a Mac Computer Lab allowing for a wide range of computing, coding and digital design and editing. The extensive sports facilities include an indoor hall, an Astroturf pitch for football and a multi-purpose play area for tennis, basketball and netball and other outdoor games. The school also houses a new 25m pool with learner area. Dining and kitchen facilities offer healthy and nutritious meals. The library is a focal point for the school, providing a diverse range of traditional books and digital media within a space catering to personalised learning and study. An enrichment centre that focuses on the personalised learning needs of children including additional English language and specialised learning support are an important facility within the school. Further to this, the school hopes to develop an additional site close to the existing one, to house a senior school. These facilities will continue to allow the school to offer amongst the widest range of subjects of any international school in the region, promoting innovation, creativity, study and collaboration.

It is situated in Al Hamra in premises opened in 1995. There is an additional Primary section in Salwa. The majority of pupils are British, but there are children of about 52 nationalities. The International British/Dutch School was opened in 1967 in a two-room villa off Tahlia St. with the intention to provide an education to the young children of primarily expatriate British and Dutch workers, and those of a relatively limited range of other nationalities living in Jeddah. Soon known by its far more familiar title of Jeddah Prep, the pupils followed a largely British curriculum, and as the eldest children grew older, evolved to include the Grammar School which prepared children for O-Levels. In 1997, the School moved to its present site in Al Naim district of Northern Jeddah, close to the main airport and Medina Road. At this location, the School grew and stabilised at around nine hundred pupils, and following the opening of the Sixth Form in 2003, provided an education for children from the ages of three to eighteen. Girls and boys were and still are taught together throughout their time in the School, without segregation or distinction. Today, JPGS welcomes expatriate and Saudi Arabian families alike, with pupils from over fifty nationalities whilst retaining a family and community atmosphere. Approaching the 50th Anniversary of the School in 2017, JPGS is the longest-established British School in the region. The School follows a modified form of the National Curriculum of England and Wales and the curricular set by the Cambridge International Examination board for IGCSE and A-Level public examinations. The School is heavily oversubscribed with waiting lists in almost all year groups. Many of the pupils matriculate to British Universities after leaving the School. The School is a member of BSME and SAIKAC. JPGS is a friendly school where parents are seen as an integral part of the home - school relationships, the School is renowned for promoting traditional standards of discipline, hard work, good manners and courtesy to all members of its community.

The British International School, Jeddah offers a British-style education to boys and girls from Pre-school to IB (approximately pre-K to Grade 12) levels. The medium of instruction is English and over sixty nationalities are represented in the student body. Teachers are recruited from a number of countries with the majority being British. On completing Year 9, students prepare for the International General Certificate of Secondary Education. After completing their IGCSE students may then apply to continue at the school in the IB programme for a further two years of study. School terms are similar to the three terms of the UK system, with some flexibility to accommodate the Islamic calendar. Housed on a purpose-built campus, the school has two sections, each with its own individual buildings, play areas and administration. Whilst the school is of mixed-ability intake, new applicants must produce their most recent school reports, and undergo admission interviews to establish the appropriate placements, to identify any EFL or SEN problems, and to gauge the degree to which the school could accommodate them. Places for new external applicants to the IGCSE courses and the IB Diploma are few; students wishing to enter Grades 9/10/11/12 are therefore advised to seek entry to the school at an early stage.

Founded in 2005 and located in the thriving Emirates Hills area of Dubai, DBS is a purpose built British international school, offering England's National Curriculum, the International Primary Curriculum (IPC), GCSE and A Level. The school achieved CIS accreditation in 2009 - 2010 and is part of a family of schools, offering a variety of international curricula run by the Taaleem management group. Although the majority of its student population are British, DBS caters for over 63 different nationalities and celebrates the diversity of its student body. Staff are recruited mainly from the UK or from international schools worldwide. The majority of the school's graduates are placed in UK universities, while others successfully apply for places in American, Australian and universities around the world. The school offers a very wide range of activities for Primary and Secondary children and there is a thriving International Award for Young People (IAYP) programme. Students participate fully in a broad range of local and international activities, including musical theatre, Model UN and Global Challenge. There is a strong programme for competitive sports, and the school competes successfully both locally and regionally. DBS is open to all students who are able to access a British education in the medium of English, while offering support to a limited number of children with moderate learning difficulties. The Gifted and Able programme challenges students to extend their achievement in academic, sporting and cultural spheres.
