With more than 50 entries across approximately thirty BSME schools the Primary Creative Writing Event was as popular as ever! Each entry succeeded in drawing the judges into a world of fairies, wishes, Wishgranters, dragons, to name but a few! Having to adhere to such a word count at any age is a challenge, and the students rose to the challenge wonderfully!
“The imagination, creativity, and effort were clear to see. I have truly loved reading every single entry, as have others who have helped judge them” said Barbara Meason, competition coordinator.
The winning entries of the MES Cairo BSME Primary Creative Writing Event are as follows:
Years 1 and 2: Allesandra Crane | Year 2 | Amity International School, who wrote a touching poem about bullying and wishes
Years 3 and 4: Darren Kong | Year 4 | Qatar International School, whose wish granter story transported the reader to a world of dragons.

Latifa School for Girls and Al Mamoura Academy again had wonderful ideas, again making it a hard choice for the judges!
Final Round: British School of Bahrain had the winning plan, but one of our judges (Michael Roulston) was so impressed with the plan put forth by the Dubai English Speaking College, he personally funded that plan so it could be implemented as well.
