About Us

British Schools in the Middle East (BSME) is a not-for-profit membership association supporting, connecting, and advocating for British international schools across the Middle East and North Africa. We bring together a diverse community of schools, educators, students, and partners, working collectively to strengthen the quality, reputation and reach of British education across the region.

We work on behalf of our members in a number of ways:

• We connect our Community by bringing schools together through peer networks, events, shared learning, and opportunities to build meaningful relationships across our community.
• We support Professional Learning through accredited training, conferences, networking groups, and other development opportunities for school leaders, educators, and support staff.
• We support students with our vibrant programme of regional student events, both in person and online, giving young people the opportunity to compete, collaborate, learn, perform, and build friendships across the region.
• We introduce schools to trusted partners. We work alongside a community of verified Partner Members whose resources, products and services support our schools, while creating meaningful connections between educational suppliers and the communities they serve.
• We represent our schools, championing the interests of British international education with UK government departments, regional authorities, and global education bodies. We ensure the voice of our members is heard and recognised.
