Amanda has also been Headteacher of three different schools over a period of 13 years. She has experience coaching and mentoring all levels of school leadership from Middle Leaders and those new to leadership, through to experienced Principals and CEOs. As a National Leader of Education (NLE), she has vast experience of supporting schools and working in partnership with other leaders to improve outcomes. For 7 years she led an outstanding 800 place Academy and established a Multi-Academy Trust; in addition to her CEO role at the Academy she was also Director of Initial Teacher Training (ITT). Throughout her career she has led her schools through 3 separate "Outstanding" judgements by Ofsted. Her teaching training centre was judged "Outstanding" twice and was rated the third best teacher training establishment nationally. Amanda was selected by HMCI to sit on Sir Michael Wilshaw's Ofsted Reference Group. She was a member of the group for 3 years and worked alongside HMCI developing new inspection framework.
