Examination Updates

We are pleased to share with you this letter from Sir Steve Smith, the UK Government’s International Education Champion, in support of our collective efforts to minimise the impact of the regional conflict on our students.

As our school communities continue to negotiate this highly complex situation, we recognise the efforts made by awarding bodies to adapt at pace and find workable qualification pathways for all students. We are though aware that the resulting 'mixed economy' of qualification approaches could create the potential for real or perceived inequity for students, so the aforementioned sector-wide statement, led by the UK Government, should help safeguard the academic futures of our students and protect the global standing of British education.

The table below indicates the current examination status as notified to BSME by awarding bodies and will be updated as we receive further information. Please note that this table is intended as an overview guide only and schools should refer to individual guidance received directly from exam boards as their primary source of information.
