Individual Assistants in Abu Dhabi Private Schools 

Research Project by Ginette Moore, University of Bath EdD Researcher and Assistant Principal - Inclusion at Cranleigh Abu Dhabi

This research invitation is aimed at Individual Assistants (IAs) working in Abu Dhabi schools. The study explores the role and experiences of IAs in British Curriculum private schools in Abu Dhabi, following the introduction of the ADEK Inclusion Policy in 2023. The research contributes to a thesis, which forms part of the Doctorate in Education programme at the University of Bath, UK. The study has been granted ethical approval by the University of Bath’s Ethics Committee.

IAs who meet the eligibility criteria will be invited to complete a short online questionnaire, with the option to volunteer for a follow up interview. Participation is entirely voluntary and confidential. No data will be collected about students or schools, and no student, family, school, staff or Individual Assistant will be identifiable in the research, through the use of pseudonyms and the exclusion of any identifying data.
